For many, it is one of the national players with a more promising future. With a lot of paddle in his hands, in his head and in his heart, this young Bilbao faces the 2014 season with great challenges that reveals us just below.

Padel World Press .- Hi all. For my friends at Padel World Press, and for all their readers, I will talk a little about everything that surrounds me in my career as a professional player ... I hope you find it interesting.

I think the first thing I would have to do is assess the starting point. Last year I did a season that, although at first it did not promise much, it ended up being pretty good. During the last tournaments, and because I did not have a fixed partner, I took the opportunity to try different pairs for this 2014 ... I had something in mind and that was playing with a lefty; something that I had never tried in my career, not even when I played in the categories of minors. The idea was, and still is, to become more complete and work in a different way on the track.

In the end, I decided that I would join my path to that of Gonzalo Rubio for this campaign. He finished very well last year and together we reached the last 16 in the WPT Valencia. In that appointment we realized that we contributed things to each other. Gon physically is very good and reaches almost all the balls, something that helps me a lot and gives me more freedom when I move. I can trust that he will be there to cover me if I leave any space. On the other hand, I think that where I contribute the most to the couple is above. I can cover the track with the smash and define the point from positions that are quite late.

At this time, it is difficult to set real goals for this season. Being both very young, we are capable of the best and the worst ... I hope you come first, hehehe.

We are working very hard. From Sunday to Wednesday we train together in Madrid. Thursday and Friday Gonzalo goes to Seville while I'm still here. In general, we usually train 5 or 6 days a week and we do both the technical and physical. We have had 3 months to fit in and I think we are getting closer and closer. Right now, what we need is to start competing together because there are always details that come out in competition and that in training can not be seen.

Finally, and certainly that is what most interests people, note that there has been much talk of uncertainty regarding the continuity of the WPT Circuit. Well, I will give my point of view and it is very personal. I have to admit that I did have a scare the first day I received the news, but I'm there. Very soon a series of meetings was called, in which most of the issues were clarified, and which gave me a lot of confidence in the circuit and in the people who were going to handle it.

The only concern that has accompanied me in this process is the way in which the players were going to face the different legal barriers that we were going to encounter. Historically, in paddle tennis things have been done with little seriousness and this was a time to walk with lead feet. Luckily everything has turned out very well (or so it seems) thanks to the professionals who have been advising us to act in the best possible way.

With the calendar already announced and with the beginning more and more near, there comes the moment that we all want: to enjoy the most of the paddle.
