Padel World Press .- On Friday, November 13, the presentation of the XXXVIª Edition of the Spanish Championship took place. The event was attended by Roberto Núñez, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Community of Madrid; Ramón Morcillo, President of the Spanish Paddle Federation; José Luis Amoroto, President of the Madrid Paddle Federation (FMP); Manuel Saucedo, CEO of Impulsa Eventos e Instalaciones (management company of the Wizink Center); and Pedro San Román, President of Urban Event (organizing company of this competition). Very excited about the imminent launch of a competition that aims to mark a before and after in the history of this tournament, Ramón Morcillo said: “We are going to do the best federated paddle sports event that has been done in Spain. In a situation as complex as the current one, I want to value the great work that all the territorial federations do, which are the basis for making this type of competition possible ”.

For his part, José Luis Amoroto pointed out: “We believe that there will be a before and after in the history of this event, of which I predict a participation success that had not been seen until now. We are doubly proud that it is done in the Community of Madrid because we believe that we have been unfairly treated. We are going to show that you can fight the pandemic and, at the same time, that you can continue to live on a day-to-day basis".

As we already told in your day, The Spanish Paddle Championship will debut a new image in this edition, which will take place under the Urban Event organization, thanks to the agreement signed with the Spanish Paddle Federation for two years, renewable. Its president, Pedro San Román, praised the setting of an appointment that begins to build its own identity. "We have tried to create a new, modern and sophisticated image for this event, which will feature the best blades in the world. We are working on a security protocol for those attending it ”.

Uri Botello, current number 11 in the world, stated: “The Wizink Center is an incredible setting, just seeing it makes you smaller. The competition will be very close, there will be great couples and we hope to take the tournament ourselves ”. Right afterwards, Marta Talaván added: “I really want the tournament to start and be able to play here. Women's paddle tennis is very competitive and we are lucky that many of the best players are Spanish and will be present in this tournament. The twins Sánchez Alayeto or Las Martas (Marrero and Ortega) will not be missing… It will be fun ”.
