There are only two weeks left before the Xº Menorca World Championship begins and, therefore, from the Spanish Federation, they want us to know a little more closely the players that will defend our country. Today is the turn of Alba Pérez.

Padel World Press .- Component of the Andalusian Selection of Minors, with which she was a finalist in 2015 of the Autonomic Selections Championship, as well as Spanish Runner-up and Champion of the Master in 2014, together with Paula Macías, she is a couple with an impressive talent.

Throughout the current season he has fought with Marina Gonsalves and Carlota García, their current teammates, for being number one in the Cadet Ranking. Now, as it can not be otherwise, he wants to add to his record nothing more and nothing less than the conquest of a World Championship for Minors.

As we are told from the FEP, Alba is very clear that she must take advantage of these days to charge batteries for the final stretch of the season ... And she wants to arrive in the best possible conditions to the World Cup: "It is a pride for me to be among the chosen to represent Spain and I am very excited to share this experience with those who go.

The player, whose results may have gone from more to less, relies on redirecting his career with the achievement of this important title. "Always, the World Championship is faced with more enthusiasm, training us more to be able to improve ourselves every day".

In Mexico, he will not have his regular partner, Paula Macías, and he will do so with what have been his great rivals throughout the campaign: Marina and Carlota. However, Alba explained that despite being rivals on the court, then the deal is excellent. "We fight during the season as rivals on the track but then we are very good friends. Especially with Carlota, who is my partner of the Andalusian team¨.

The concentration held a few days ago in the City of the Racket helped them to join even more, as they enjoyed two days of fun and training: "It was a pity that Ari and Marta could not go. We hope to have them at 100% in Mexico. We also miss Eric¨.

Regarding the main rivals to achieve the Championship, Spain will have to fight, as it told us, with Argentina and Brazil. In addition, did not rule out possible surprises to be a test of such high level.

Alba declared herself a follower of Málaga, a football team she tries to follow whenever she can. Oddly enough, he does not practice tennis, and regarding his strengths and weaknesses on the track, he was clear and concise. "When it comes to entering a game, I keep my emotions firm, and I do not come down. This can sometimes also be a negative aspect, since being so cold, sometimes it can seem that I am angry with my partner, especially if you do not know me enough¨.

On his wishes for the World Cup, he said: "The first thing will be to encourage Spain, and to spend the best possible with the team, enjoying to the fullest".

One step closer to #MundialMenores2015... A date that we will be very aware of and in which the young promises of the national padel will make us vibrate with their magic and their talent.
