Padel World Press .- An important milestone to celebrate ... A reason to be very proud ... Many reasons not to stop smiling and to look forward to the future with optimism. The Black Crown team celebrates its first ten years of life and, therefore, we wanted to speak with Jordi Rovirosa to take stock of everything he experienced during this time.

Passionate about sports, in love with paddle tennis, the head of the crown brand He is very satisfied to have consecrated his signature as one of the references in the world of paddle tennis and he knows that, despite all that has been achieved, there is still a long way to go ... Of course, no one will be able to take away their joy for continuing to 'wage war' a decade later and for having marked a Roadmap that makes them very clear about their upcoming goals.

Do not miss this interesting one with Jordi Rovirosa, together with whom we can learn more about the spirit and essence of Black Crown

Who was going to tell you? Ten years already on the market. Surely you look back and remember many moments. First of all, congratulations, Jordi ...

Thank you very much, Oscar. It has been 10 very intense years, with a lot of effort and hours dedicated to this project. Also 10 years in which we have really enjoyed participating in the evolution of paddle tennis worldwide. It is fortunate to be able to dedicate ourselves professionally to a sport that we are passionate about.

For those who do not know ... How were your beginnings in the world of paddle tennis? What made you bet on this sport and how was the process to consolidate yourselves in a market as competitive as paddle tennis?

At the end of 2009 I was looking for a new professional project after having worked 22 years in a Spanish multinational. The crisis situation in the country made it difficult to find the desired project and the possibility arose for me to start in the world of paddle tennis with the purchase of the Black Crown brand. The beginnings were very hard because you have to fight a lot and travel many kilometers to introduce a new firm in the market. Little by little we were finding our space and… Until today.

What would you say are the fundamental pillars of Black Crown's philosophy as a brand?

Black Crown was born and continues to be a family business, whose fundamental pillars are being very close to customers, being very agile and offering solutions to their needs. We have stayed true to our philosophy and offer a quality product at reasonable prices.

Due to the way you do things, it was not long before you added players of the stature of Marta Marrero or Tito Allemandi to your project, among many others… What does it mean for you to have ambassadors like them?

From the first moment we bet on professional padel with the aim of gaining brand awareness and taking advantage of the experience of professional players to improve the product. The fact of participating in professional padel makes you live the competition more and makes you feel that you are more involved in this business. Our team of professional players are part of our family and that is how we try to make Marta Marrero, Tito Allemandi, Enric Sanmarti, José Antonio García Diestro, Eli Amatriain, Sandra Hernández, Juan Alday, ...

Little by little, your collections have not stopped improving and surprising fans. What is the secret that makes the Black Crown blades more and more valued?

We put a lot of care in the development of each new product and we work with the best factories to ensure the quality of all Black Crown products. Our goal is to make products that meet the needs of all padel players, from beginners to professional level.

In this decade, you have launched numerous projects such as, for example, the BC Academy ... How is your online academy working?

Black Crown Academy was born with the aim of bringing the knowledge of our professional coaches and players to amateurs. It is a tool that helps to improve the concept of the game for the amateur fan. We are very happy with the evolution of our Black Crown Academy, an initiative that is gaining more and more followers. I would like to remind you that it can be followed through our WEB page http://blackcrown.es/academy/ and on our YouTube channel Black Crown Padel.

In that sense, you will add to your training material some videos in which Eli Amatriain will give us advice on Psychology applied to paddle tennis ... What could you tell us about this new section?

We are very excited to start this new section within our Black Crown Academy. I think that Eli Amatriain's training in Psychology and competition experience will be very well received by the amateur player. Paddle tennis is a complex sport because they are two players who make a team and, to give maximum performance, it is very important that they complement each other in all aspects, not only in the tactical aspect. Communication and the support of your partner is essential to face each moment of a match with the maximum guarantees.

With the new collection already underway, what could you tell us about the models that are about to hit the market?

We are finalizing the launch of our 2021 Collection, which will be on the market for this next Christmas campaign. We will present a total of 5 new models of blades, with some very new mold and with revolutionary aesthetics.

Will we have any special surprises to celebrate this tenth anniversary in style?

Unfortunately, it has not been the best year to celebrate our 10th Anniversary because the situation we are experiencing with the pandemic makes nothing normal. We hope we can overcome this situation soon and return to normal life. In any case, our enthusiasm for this event is not taken away by anyone and we have been doing small commemorative events for some time. In July, for example, we present the new Piton Limited shovel model with our 10th Anniversary logo and, recently, we published a video that traced our history and evolution, in which all our most emblematic blade models were remembered. In a very short time we will share a video with 3 of our most emblematic professional players, who have been collaborating with us almost since we started our journey.

If you had to highlight them, what moments can you never forget about all those lived with Black Crown in these ten years of life?

There are many memories that come to mind but, perhaps, the most emotional were Tito Allemandi's first final. It took place in 2011, which was also his first year of collaboration with Black Crown, and his partner was Paquito Navarro. The test was held in Valladolid and, at that time, the Circuit was Padel Pro Tour. They faced Fernando Belasteguín and Juan Martín Díaz. The other would be the first final that Marta Marrero won with Cata Tenorio in 2014 in Valencia.

What challenges and objectives have you set for your next decade in the world of paddle tennis?

We want to continue enjoying our work and evolve as a company with this wonderful sport that is paddle tennis.

What message would you like to send to all the fans who have accompanied us by reading this interview

May they continue to enjoy this wonderful sport that, in addition to having fun and exercising, allows us to socialize with people who share our passion.
