Padel World Press - Alejandro Galán has spoken clearly. In a recent interview in Twenty Ten, Fede Chingotto's current partner has broken the silence about her relationship with Juan Lebrón And the moment she made the decision to separate from the Cadiz native. She does so bluntly, with statements that leave no room for interpretation: she doesn't contemplate a sporting or personal reconciliation.
"Would you consider playing with LeBrón again in the future? I'm not thinking about trades. So it's not a good option because I'm not thinking about a trade. And as far as a personal relationship, right now, there isn't one. There's no relationship at all," he stated. Gallant, visibly blunt. “For me, respect comes first. I think there have been things with Juan that haven't been right.”
Beyond the present, Galán has revealed for the first time when he actually decided to end one of the most successful partnerships in modern padel. "I agree with him in some ways when he said 'it wasn't the time to leave.'" “Yes, it’s true, I should have quit earlier,” he admitted. He says he had already made the decision at the 2023 Paris Major: “We had a talk there and I told him we weren't going to continue the following year.”
However, after an unexpectedly strong end to the season in both results and team dynamics, Galán decided to reconsider his decision and give them "one more chance," although he made it clear that there would be limits beyond the sporting aspect.
The final break came after the controversy in the Qatar Major against Garrido and Yanguas“I kept my word and called Fede,” Galán says. “We had already had a previous conversation, and he was a good fit. It was better than we could have hoped for.”
This is how the present is written for one of the most decisive players on the circuit: a new project, a new mentality, and a period with Juan Lebrón that, as of today, seems completely over.
